Read MoreToday I had a day off work so decided to have soem fun with water filled ballons.
I used a piece of nylon string with a quick release loop to suspend the water-filled balloon from the roof of my garage, then set up a black backdrop.
I experimented using the Sigma EF-500 DG flash in wireless mode for various positions, but found that the best setup to capture the water was mounted on the hotshoe pointing straight at the balloon.
To burst the balloon I made a simple peashooter out of a drinking straw and a sewing pin inserted through the end of a shoelace (cut off the plastic bit and about 3mm of the unwrapped lace which can be fluffed out a bit to make "feathers")
